YOGA Programs

Vinyasa 

A practice filled with creative sequences and postures that align, stretch and aid the body into strengthening the muscles as participants hold these asanas for 3-5 breaths. The pace gradually becomes more intense with repetitive motion challenging the body to conquer what was once difficult to a confident stance.  Instructors facilitate the flow and the student controls the intensity.  POWER classes are Vinyasa-based that may include inversions, arm balances, and binds.

Ashtanga

This dynamic practice synchronizes the breath with movement to produce internal heat and to purify the body from toxins. Postures are held in an effort to build stamina and strength and to generate proper alignment. This 90 minute class covers most of the postures of the Primary Series of Ashtanga yoga while taking some creative detours and allowing time to work on more advanced postures. Some yoga experience is beneficial but not required. Props and modifications are offered to suit the student.

Slow Flow 

Poses Breathing and Modifications given for students while breathing deeply. Clear and gentle cues to help begin and settle asanas (poses). Breathing and focus is the main ingredient of this class. This is a perfect class for Beginners or Refresher Sequences for people who have previous yoga experience.

HOT Yoga  

We are so excited to share the HOT Yoga classes for both Vinyasa and BUTI Yoga formats.  The sequences are low impact without cardio and plyometrics.  The movements are given close attention to ensure safety first and then an overall release of toxins from the body and warming of the major muscle groups in the body.  Please refer to our monthly schedule or live on our MindBody registration site. 

LEVEL Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced *The temperature in the room can reach up to 97 DEGREES.  Hyrdration throughout the day or overnight is highly recommended before class.  Bring a towel, mat towel, water and a mat to participate.  Studio has supplies and other items for rent or sale*

BUTI 

Heart racing, vigorous practice fused with Tribal Dance, Plyometrics, and Traditional Yoga Asanas accompanied with a energetic, loud lively music playlist. The body awakens the Shakti releasing energy, stimulatng the body's gland system and creating a sense of bliss at the end of the session. Be sure to pack a towel and hydrate for this energy rising practice that will light your fire.  HOTI BUTI is a separate class that uses a hot room; there are no plyometrics in this hot class.

Deep

Masterful and intentional, DEEP is restorative movement sequence that utilizes the Spiral Structure Technique® to connect mind to muscle and catalyze vibrational change on a cellular level. Unlike other Buti® trademarked formats, DEEP is low-impact and focuses on micro-movements with physical touch to connect the brain to innervated muscle and restructure the deep core. DEEP is designed to prevent injury, restore innervation and assist in the recovery of bladder/ uterine prolapse and diastasis recti. The class structure also includes self-massage and pressure point activation to release muscles during deep restorative asanas. Class duration ranges 75-90 minutes + 7 minute meditation.

Morning Mantra Soul Flow

This is an all levels class designed to cultivate awareness from the inside out. Four components are taught during class. Meditation, to set an intention for practice. Mantra,is incorporated during the Movement (flow) portion of class as a way to encourage focus while practicing. Props, such as blocks, straps and bolsters are offered to help encourage muscle relaxation and free flowing movement. Mudra (hand placement) is offered throughout class to teach specific ways to place hands and fingers, cultivating deeper physical, mental and heartfelt awareness. The class will end with a deep relaxation & body scan, to allow the physical benefits of the practice to infuse the body and settle the mind. Participants will leave feeling calm, confident and ready for the day. A water bottle is recommended.

Relief Props & Stretch

An invigorating, moderately paced hour with deep poses to address soreness, chronic movements of the body (occupation, lifestyle), and prior injuries.   Each pose will provide a release, relief and the ultimate stretch to muscles, ligaments and tendons.   Breathing technique, posture and alignment is emphasized with yoga blocks, bolsters, straps, props and instructor assistance.

Tibetan Detox Flow

This class fuses the Five Tibetan Rites and vinyasa yoga which emphasizes a continuous sequence of movement with static asanas. This detox flow will increase energy, calm the mind, and strengthen the body & core. The room will be hot to enhance the cleansing effect of this rejuvenating practice.

YANG to YIN, a KIMYB signature

Intentional Movement with standing poses and breathwork to heighten your awareness. The body will become warm as it is physically challenged for the first portion of your hour. The class receives a time of “balance” as you bring your adrenaline down with signature YIN asanas and an extended savasana. This class serves as a “sampler” of the most requested styles of yoga offered in our studios.

Restorative Relax YIN Gentle Classes

Gentle Movement & Meditation est. 7/2019

Class incorporates gentle movements and stretches to warm the body and joints. Connect with breath allowing for a restorative meditation at the end of class.

Intro to Chill

Are you overwhelmed by the choices of yoga? No worries. This class is our true introductory class welcoming new journey takers to breathe and move calmly with grounding poses. The wall is used in a great portion of the class and serves as your primary prop along with straps blocks and bolsters. You won’t regret taking this first step.

YIN Flow

Refreshing hour that consists of YIN Yoga; resting poses that are based on the floor with deep stretches targeting deep connective tissue.  Focus on hips, lower back, thighs and sacrum area.  YIN practice will be done the beginning and ending of class for twenty minutes each segment.  The middle portion of class will have postures and movement to warm the body.

Fitness & Wellness Class

Barre

A Ballet Infused Sculpt & Tone Class using traditional dance techniques, light weights and exercise balls.  The cardio element is brought on by continuous, graceful, big movements.  2 LB. Light weights are the resistance to countless repetitions burning and sculpting muscles in the torso, back , arms and legs.  Posture, core control and technique is taught.  No dance experience needed to enjoy this fun class with fiery music playlists and upbeat instruction.
